Rainier Brewery

Last fall, before we moved away from Seattle and headed on our road trip to Austin, we stopped by a friend’s loft. He was renting a space in in the Old Rainier Brewery building, now the Tully’s headquarters. I wanted to share some photos, of the building and also.. go check out his photography! An¬†extremely¬†talented photographer.

Seattle from the Archives

I’ve been planning on redoing my portfolio on the website, and have been looking through old photos to see which ones I want to include. I came across these that I really liked and haven’t shared before. All taken when I lived in Seattle still.

Hint, hint, Austin weather. Wouldn’t lots of snow this year be so nice?

Orange Van

I love snow. I think it’s something about growing up in South Texas and hardly ever seeing it. Today I’m in Austin and I’ve seen a bit of flurries here and there, but nothing significant.

Austin, sometime this winter, I’d love to see you covered in at least as much snow as the photo above. Pretty please?

Playing Tourist in Seattle – Part 4

The last day my parents were in Seattle we hung out around the city. We went down to Bite of Seattle, or as my mom mistakenly referred to it “Seattle Bites.” We had some great times there and some great food. Josh let a guy pour nutella into his mouth, we had some delicious crepes, we almost knocked over a picnic table when the four of us tried to all sit on the same side without thinking about it..

Then, after we got back and relaxed for awhile, my mom, Josh and I headed over to Gasworks Park where Josh did a fantastic job flying a kite while my mom and I relaxed on a blanket. A wonderful end to their trip to Seattle.

Playing Tourist in Seattle – Part 3

Well.. this was KINDA in Seattle. On Saturday while my parents were here, Mom, Dad and I took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island. We ate some barbecue, walked around, visited the bookstore, and headed back home to Seattle where Josh was making a delicious dinner of ribs and corn on the cob.
