I love modern art, so one of the things I definitely wanted to do was visit the Tate Modern in London. Even better? Most of the museums are free! Woooo saving money! We had a great time walking around and looking at everything and getting inspired.
Below are a few snaps I took while at the museum.
On my whirlwind two weeks in Europe, the first and last stops for the trip were London.
I mainly went to hang out with my best friend and her husband, and it was so nice to stay with them at their flat while there! It’s always so nice to stay with someone when traveling, because you get to learn about what they do on a day-to-day basis, what neighborhood shops and grocery stores they visit, instead of being subjected to a bunch of touristy things.
That being said.. I also like to see and do some touristy things, so we made sure we hit up a bunch of the big spots.. Big Ben, the London Eye, etc.
Here’s a smattering of random London shots taken around the city…
Well, I’m back from a two week vacation to Europe. It’s been years since I’ve actually taken a vacation, much less one this long. The last real vacation I took was to Marfa over two years ago, and that was just for a two nights.
So this was much needed.
I had a great time and it was fun, yet overwhelming. There were 7 plane flights, 1 train ride from London to Paris, many many travels on the London, Paris, and Barcelona metros, and so much walking. There were drinks with friends from Austin, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, and museum visits. I’ll be posting a bunch of photos from the trip on the blog here over the next few weeks.
But for now, I’m just glad to be home.
