Are you in Austin? Do you have some free time? Then head out and look for a copy of the newest issue of Austin Lifestyle Magazine. And when you find it… and see the cover.. that photo was shot by me! Yay!
Earlier this year, the magazine contacted me to shoot the cover and a 12-page spread inside. This was my first time working with them and it was so fun. And such a fun story to shoot! Cocktails and stylish bars? Yes, please. The art director, Adam Fortner did a fantastic job not only with the layout of the article but also with the setup of some of these shots.
If you’re not in Austin or can’t get out to find a copy, don’t worry. They have the magazine online! I’ve included a few screenshots below, but to read the article and issue in its entirety, go here.

Photos for Foreign & Domestic
You may have seen this.. you may not have yet. Foreign & Domestic launched a new website last month, designed by the talented Justin Esquivel. And the photos you’ll see on it? Taken by me.
The lovely Ned and Jodi hired me at the end of last year to do their restaurant photography, and I happily agreed. Even before they opened in early 2010, I dreamed about being able to do the photography for them, and when everything fell into place, I was thrilled. What’s one of the best parts? Being able to do the photography for a place I truly believe has some of the most exquisite and memorable food in Austin.
Enough with the words, onto the photos! Here are some of my favorite shots and a screenshot of their site:

Published: Spring Issue of Edible Austin
The Spring Issue of Edible Austin out today, and I can’t wait to pick up a copy and read it!
Not in Austin, too impatient to wait to grab a hard copy, or just too lazy to go pick one up? You can read the online version of the magazine here.
I shot a two-page spread on Black Star Co-op. A really great concept, and really fun to visit! I haven’t had their food yet, but I hear it is excellent. Sometime when I’m up that way in North Austin, I must check it out! And that beer sampler… mmm.
