Our Balcony
We got new furniture for our balcony yesterday. Two chairs and a snazzy small red table. I love them. Now we no longer have to sit on folding lawn chairs and drag our coffee table outdoors when we want to enjoy chips and salsa on the balcony. It’s lovely.
Memorial Day
Happy Memorial Day weekend!
I have plans that involve wearing lots of sandals and sundresses, eating yummy food, spending time around a pool, and taking Sydney for some leisurely walks.
Eric and Kat
A few photos I snapped of my brother and his girlfriend on a hot, humid Texas morning.
Eric likes to pretend-scare people, just like me.
They are cool from the front or the back.
The Drag
Hyde Park
Sometimes, walking in the neighborhood behind my place can get really tiring. It’s just house after big house after big house, most of them uninteresting and just oversized. Sidewalks are there.. but in places they just come to an end and it’s not clear why. And then there are big brick mailboxes, one in front of every house, taking up half the sidewalk, not leaving enough room for my boyfriend, puppy and me to walk side-by-side.
So we decided to do something different last Saturday and we went for a walk in Hyde Park. It was lovely. And I took photos, of course.
Getting started… and we see a Moon Tower!

Farm Animal Cake Pops
Last month, Kathy Phan and I teamed up again to take some photos of new cake pops she created. Farm animal cake pops! Cute and delicious. The little pigs, chickens, and cows were so well done and as you can see, the details are amazing. That takes a lot of time and patience. And after we were done, we both ate one to REALLY appreciate all the work (and sugar) that went into them. Yummy yummy.
