Published: UT Law Brochure
Story:
UT Law puts out a brochure. This brochure is not about the law school itself, which I’m sure is fabulous, but it is all about Austin which is also fabulous.
I go to East Side Showroom last fall with some lady friends, we have drinks, I take pictures.
A few days later, I get contacted about them using one of my photos in their new brochure. We discuss, paperwork is done.
Brochure comes out (which is beautiful and very stylish), I get a copy, I share with you!
Here’s the photo which was used:

Blood Orange Martini
I have a dream of having a cocktail party. Basically to invite a bunch of people over, have fabulous mixers and alcohol and attempt to make tasty, fancy drinks.
Until that point, I’ll be drinking these…

Lemon Bundt Cake
This is a busy week. Lots of stuff going on, very exciting and fun.. but no time to bake anything homemade. So instead, I’ll just have to dream about this lemon bundt cake I made last week. It was yummy and moist and the glaze was amazing… but it could have been PERFECT with a few strawberries on top. Next time I’ll definitely be prepared with those. Link to recipe below photos.
I used this recipe for the cake and this recipe for the glaze.
Fishing Trip in Northern California
Lately, I have been aching for a road trip vacation. And it’s made me go back through photos from one late last summer.
I wanted to share something with you. A long, long time ago, I went fishing. I was up in the lakes of the Sierra Nevadas in Northern California and one day we decided to drive from the little gold country town we were staying in, up to a lake. We drove around winding roads, up higher and higher in elevation. I saw the tree line on the mountains. And then we arrived at the lake and took off in our little boat on a very sunny but chilly (and breezy) August day.
I had never been fishing before. But I wound up catching the limit of five trout. (For those of you who have never been fishing before.. there are limits on how much each person can catch). I owe my fishing success to the lovely people along who would put the bait on my hook for me. Cause I wasn’t touching those wriggly worms!
And then, I realized I never shared photos. So here they are.. photos of the beautiful lake and my first time fishing.
