Diamond

My friend Kathy throws a yearly party around New Year’s. This year’s party did not disappoint. And you see those awesome Twitter Pops? She made those. Cake on the inside, frosting on the outside. She also made some Texas Longhorn cake pops for the National Championship game.

That’s Kathy in the last photo, describing the Diamond Sweater Phenomenon.

University of Texas

Tower

In honor of the game that’s going on right now, here’s a photo from the University of Texas campus. If they win, the tower will probably turn orange. Right now though, it’s not looking like that will happen. This is a bad bad game.

Trees

Trees

We took Sydney for a walk on the University of Texas campus on Sunday. It was a little chilly, so we bundled up. But it was overcast and gorgeous. The clouds diffused the light perfectly and I went overboard with the photo taking while Josh kept the puppy from running off and chasing other people. So this is one of many photos from that day. More to come.

Another Trip to Gourdoughs

The Big Easy

When I heard that Gourdough’s special last week was The Big Easy, a doughnut covered in powdered sugar and a side of warm honey, I knew I had to go and try it. And then Saturday rolled around.. and I still hadn’t gone. So after a trip to see Sherlock Holmes Saturday afternoon with a few friends, we headed over to Gourdough’s right after. Did not disappoint. Soo lip-smacking delicious. The other doughnut you see there is Granny’s Pie, a doughnut covered in caramel sauce, pecans, graham crackers, and sliced bananas. Looks yummy, huh?
