On Our Roadtrip
You may have noticed there hasn’t been a new post in awhile. Or not. Either way..
Josh and I finished packing and the movers came on August 20th to move our stuff. Ever since then, we’ve been on a roadtrip. We stopped in Portland the night of the 20th, and since then have been in California. We’ve been busy spending time with family and doing things around the state, so I haven’t had a chance to edit or post many photos. They’re coming though.. I promise. When we finally get to Austin I’ll be going through all of these and posting photos from all the places we’ve been and things we’ve done. Until then…here’s one from the road (taken last Friday when we passed close to Mount Shasta). I can wear sundresses again!!!!!
We’re Moving
Soo Josh and I are moving. It’s been a nice year and a half we’ve spent in Seattle. We’ve explored the area, taken some road trips around the Pacific Northwest, but we’re ready to be back in Austin.
We’re going to take a nice road trip down, stopping off a few places (Los Angeles, Phoenix, etc.) along the way. We expect to be in Austin a little after the start of September.
We haven’t started packing yet, but I have started going through magazines to recycle. We’ve also obtained some snazzy free boxes.

Vancouver – Days 2 and 3
On day 2 in Vancouver we headed to Stanley Park, then Yaletown to grab a late afternoon lunch, then Granville Island to walk around. While we were at Granville.. the sky started getting darker and darker, and since we walked there, we knew we should head back. We didn’t make it all the way back before it started pouring, so we ducked into a Starbucks to wait it out. After about an hour, we headed back to our hotel and witnessed a fantastic lighting and thunder show.
Day 3 we decided to head back to Granville for a little more exploring. But it was HOT so we didn’t stay too long, and headed back to Seattle.

I’m Published!
It’s really cool to see your work in print. And I’m lucky enough to have two photos included in this month’s issue of 7×7 Magazine, from San Francisco. I haven’t received my copy yet, but my co-worker Michelle was nice enough to bring in her copy so I could see my photos and take a few snaps.

Vancouver, BC – Day 1
I took off of work on a Friday and Josh and I drove up to Vancouver, BC. After driving through a few sketchy parts of town, we found our lovely hotel and found out our room included not only a bedroom, but a sitting room! Very nice. Then we headed out around town, saw the Gastown steam clock, and had a lovely outdoor dinner. Dinner was nice except that a seagull decided to poo on me, my favorite white sweater, and my food. So I got new food, and my sweater went to the dry cleaning.
After going back to our room to get my other (cleaner) sweater, we walked down Robson, down by the waterfront (which was so beautiful!), by the new Convention Center built for the 2010 Olympics, and then we watched the sun set next to Canada Place before heading back to our hotel room.
