Playing Tourist in Seattle – Part 2

Last Friday while my parents were here, we made it Park Day. We started out the day with some french toast and bacon for fuel and then we headed out to walk around the Washington Park Arboretum. Although it was fun, it was pretty hot weather.

We stopped at a Starbucks in Capitol Hill for some refreshments, then headed over to Volunteer Park where we walked around the Volunteer Park Conservatory (very cool, never been in before!), and then headed back home to relax in the hot, non-air conditioned house.

After a tasty dinner of chicken caesar salad, we walked down to Kerry Park for the sunset and then back home. See? So many parks in one day.

  1. So your parents in Seattle…I can’t even get mine to come to Austin! Did they love it?
